Root Canal Treatments
A root canal treatment is a dental procedure designed to save a tooth that is severely infected. During the process, the dentist will first numb the area ensure comfort, then remove the infected pulp from the tooth's interior. After cleaning and disinfecting the space, the tooth is filled with a biocompatible material and sealed to prevent future infections.
This treatment typically requires 2 appointments due to the length of the procedure.
Following the root canal procedure, the dentist will assess your tooth to determine which restoration procedure to deliver. This is typically a permanent filling or crown to protect the tooth from fracture or infection.
