ICON Smooth Surface is a minimally invasive resin infiltration treatment used to improve the appearance of certain white spots and enamel discolorations on the visible surfaces of the teeth. White spots may develop after orthodontic braces, during the early stages of tooth decay, or because of conditions such as mild fluorosis or enamel hypomineralization.

Instead of covering the area with a filling or veneer, ICON works by penetrating the porous enamel with a clear dental resin. This changes how light passes through the affected enamel, helping the white spot blend more naturally with the surrounding tooth. The treatment preserves the natural enamel and typically requires no drilling or dental anesthesia.
